Life of Susan Part Six (Content Warning)

To say Susan’s mother was angry would be a great understatement. The first thing she did was start hitting Susan repeatedly in the stomach. Words of hatred, death to the baby and hopefully Susan flew from her mouth.

Curling up in a ball, Susan hoped she could protect her unborn child. It only enraged her mother more. The abuse continued for what seemed forever. Finally, when it did stop, she simply lay there and cried.

Why couldn’t her mother see this is what she needed. Sure, teen pregnancy was frowned upon but now she had a reason to live, a reason to succeed in life. She would never be alone again. Susan would never need to do anything for attention ever again.

Weeks flew by and her grandmother and aunt helped her get to doctors and other needed appointments. They weren’t happy either but at least they didn’t hit her. Susan still only had the food they gave her and sometimes, her mother would take even that from her.  The beatings continued but somehow, she never lost the baby.

Months passed by. She was showing her pride and joy fully now. To avoid her mother, Susan walked her neighborhood and others until it was safe to go home. Her friends and sister were there as well for her. Missy was so happy to become an aunt. Even her boyfriend seemed to be happy. Well, as much as an evil bastard could be.

One of her friends finally had a car and they rode to school and back every day. She even escorted Susan around school making sure the bullies didn’t start anything with her. One day, after school, Susan was dropped off at home. She didn’t want to be there but there was nowhere else to go on this day.

She steeled herself for what was obviously going to happen as she walked into her house. What she saw was not what she expected. Everything was gone, as well as her mother.
